Successfully resolved a premises liability case on behalf of a client who was injured when she stepped on a negligently unsecured water meter “manhole” cover in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

During the course of an ongoing hotly contested and litigated complex business tort and conspiracy case involving music artists Kid Rock and others, the 2016 Republican National Convention and other people and parties; as lead trial counsel, working with local counsel in Cleveland, Ohio, litigated Motions to Compel and for Sanctions, obtaining court-ordered monetary and non monetary sanctions (including potential proposed adverse inferences to be given to a future jury and contested electronically stored information to be obtained by a forensic IT vendor) against a corporate defendant.

October 2014

As a plaintiff’s lead trial counsel, Hayden obtained a Million Dollar verdict in Spotsylvania County Circuit Court on behalf of a person who suffered a brain injury in a serious car wreck.

July 2014

In the York County Circuit Court, Hayden as lead trial counsel obtained a $250,000 verdict against restaurant consultant and lacrosse dad Mark Moreno who falsely accused a high school lacrosse coach of taking inappropriate photographs of his underage players in a failed power play coup to remove and replace the coach.

As a plaintiff’s lead trial counsel, Hayden helped a George Mason University professor recover a six figure settlement in a medical malpractice case pending in Stafford County Circuit Court.

As a plaintiff’s lead trial counsel, Hayden helped a VCU college student recover a several hundred thousand dollar settlement from the insurer of a driver who ran into and broke his leg without having to file a lawsuit.

As plaintiff’s lead trial counsel, Hayden obtained a verdict on behalf of a developer against a homeowner who falsely accused the company’s principal owner of cheating him out of a promised paved driveway and installing a paved driveway in an un-workmanlike manner.

As a plaintiff’s lead trial counsel, Hayden helped an elected official resolve a defamation case against persons who had slandered her publicly.

As a plaintiff’s lead trial counsel in a business tort case involving intellectual property, Hayden obtained an 11 Million Dollar plus verdict in Richmond Circuit Court.

January 2009

As a plaintiff’s lead trial counsel on behalf of another attorney, Hayden obtained a large verdict in the United States District Court, Richmond Division, against a writer who repeatedly defamed the lawyer online because the lawyer sent the writer a “cease and desist” letter on behalf a publisher client.

January 2008

As a plaintiff’s lead trial counsel, Hayden obtained a several hundred thousand dollar on behalf of a victim of medical malpractice in Hopewell Circuit Court.

November 2007

As special lead trial counsel appointed by the Attorney General of the Commonwealth of Virginia, Hayden successfully litigated and resolved a construction litigation case involving a massive fire on behalf of the Virginia Commonwealth University.
