D. Hayden Fisher graduated from the Virginia Military Institute in 1995 and Washington Lee School of Law in 1999. Hayden has tried several hundred jury trials to verdict during his career and litigated thousands of cases in federal and state courts throughout Virginia and beyond. Hayden’s practice areas include personal injury, medical malpractice, commercial litigation and business torts, defamation (libel and slander), family law, construction litigation and insurance litigation among others. Hayden has been hired many times by other lawyers to serve as lead trial counsel or to represent lawyers in their own personal or business disputes. Hayden taught legal writing and other law skills for 6 years as an adjunct law professor at the University of Richmond T.C. Williams School of Law. Hayden has also qualified as an expert witness in legal malpractice cases.
Hayden has received numerous “best of” awards for lawyers in local publications in the Richmond metropolitan area during the last decade. In 2006, Hayden was recognized as a “top 40 under 40” for his professional accomplishments, personal distinctions and community contributions. An entrepreneur himself, Hayden has been involved in various small businesses and ventures beyond the law profession and appreciates the real time grind of operating a small business. Hayden’s community contributions over the years include service on many non-profit boards and to arts and civic organizations. Hayden’s personal interests include music, spending time with friends and family, working-out and living an active and healthy lifestyle.
